But realizing that this process is not a quick one (nor should it be) will help you manage your selling expectations, especially in today’s market.

Chamber of Commerce – Most businesses are listed with the local Chamber of Commerce for advertising purposes. If you are looking for a recommendation the Chamber of Commerce may not be able to comment on the local home inspectors jobs. The Chamber of Commerce will be able to tell you if the home inspector is a licensed and insured professional and possibly how long the business was in business.
Involved in general repairs of the property would be cleanliness of the apartments, six unit multi-plex and stand-alone one family residences. Before you make the purchase a property inspection needs to be done for any repairs that need to be performed. First the inspector will take a look at the lighting, fixtures, sidewalks, stairs,doors, windows and screens.
Do a little investigative work of your own by measuring the home before you purchase. Make sure your home’s square feet is listed correctly on the public record. Both numbers should be close to each other, if not, you should reconsider buying this property or determine why the discrepancy exists.
Once we have identified interesting homes, you can contact an agent to go see them. At this point you might write an offer on one, or more of the homes you see. The Southern California Market has seen drastic drops in price, but there has also been a flurry of offers, no reason not to explore all homes you have interest in. Remember that listing prices are simply the sellers’ wish price, not the one they might actually take. The next step would be counter offers or acceptance of our offer. For the purposes of this article, let’s assume you found a home at a good price and are ready to open escrow.
If one little leak was to be found by me during my conducting a home inspection then that would have not looked too poorly on the plumber, after all no one is perfect. When six obvious leaks are found there is definitely a quality issue that needs dealt with.
